Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Vigo Trading Community is a place to learn trading through education and a paper-trading simulator. These guidelines keep it useful, safe, and legal for everyone. By posting, commenting, or messaging here you agree to follow them. They exist alongside our Terms of Service.
This is an education community — not a place for advice
Everything here is educational and simulated. Share what you are learning, your simulated trades, questions, mistakes, and lessons.
Do NOT give or ask for personalized financial, investment, legal, or tax advice — such as telling someone what to buy or sell, or when. We are not a broker-dealer or investment adviser, and members are not either. Discuss concepts and your own simulated practice, not what another person should do with real money.
No guarantees, hype, or market manipulation
No promises of guaranteed, risk-free, or “can’t-lose” returns. Trading real markets always involves risk, and simulated results never guarantee real ones.
No pump-and-dump, coordinated buying/selling, “to the moon,” or pressure to pile into a ticker. Manipulating or hyping securities is illegal and is not allowed here.
No off-platform solicitation or scams
Do not funnel members to paid “signals,” VIP groups, or private channels on Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, or elsewhere. Do not promote schemes, referral scams, or “managed accounts.”
Do not share personal contact details or payment handles (phone numbers, emails, wallet addresses, Cash App/Venmo/Zelle). This protects members from scams and privacy risks.
Be respectful and constructive
No harassment, hate speech, threats, or personal attacks. Assume good faith and help beginners — everyone starts somewhere.
No spam, repetitive self-promotion, or link farms. Keep posts on-topic for the space you post in.
Everything you share is simulated
When you share a trade, it reflects your paper-trading simulator — virtual money and delayed/historical data. Never present it as a real position or as a recommendation.
How moderation works
Posts and comments are screened automatically. Content that appears to break these guidelines — especially advice, guaranteed-return claims, pump-and-dump, off-platform solicitation, or shared contact details — may be held for approval and will not appear publicly until a moderator reviews it. You will still see your own held post marked “pending approval.”
You can report any post or comment. Moderators may remove content or, for repeat or serious violations, suspend accounts. We may update these guidelines as the community grows.
